Add text to image
Add a caption to the top and bottom of an image – for memes, greetings and posts.
How it works
- Drag an image into the box above or click to choose one from your device.
- Adjust the options on the right – the preview updates instantly.
- Click the download button and save the result.
Type the top and bottom text and choose font, colour and size. A dark outline around the letters keeps the text readable on any background.
Frequently asked questions
Are my images uploaded to a server?
No. Processing happens in your browser, on your device. The images never leave your computer or phone.
Is the tool free?
Yes. There is no sign-up, no limit on the number of images and no watermark on the result. The site is funded by ads.
Which image formats can I use?
JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, BMP and, in recent browsers, AVIF. Convert iPhone HEIC photos to JPG on the phone first.
Is there a size limit?
We set no limit. Very large images (over 40 megapixels) may be slow or fail on phones with little memory.
